Building Energy Audits
Energy Audits are often an excellent investment for our commercial customers. We typically find energy conservation opportunities that could save between 15% and 35% of our customers total energy costs. Often the opportunities we find are relatively inexpensive to implement, and well worth the cost and effort, yielding simple paybacks from 3 months to 3 years.
Energy Auditing has become a large part of our business at Abraxas Energy Consulting. We have energy auditors on both the East and West Coasts of the United States. We believe the key to our growth has been our solid reputation, the superior quality or our work and our customer satisfaction.
All of our energy auditors have been performing building energy audits for over 10 years. In the last 12 months (from 10/06 to 9/07) we have performed audits throughout the United States and the United Kingdom on:

We perform all levels of energy audits, from quick preliminary audits to investment grade audits. We use spreadsheet calculations, bin analysis methods and building simulation (EQuest and MarketManager) depending upon the application. To provide the highest quality of work, our reports and calculations are always extensively reviewed by a Professional Engineer before going out the door.
All of our auditors are Certified Energy Managers (CEMs) and Professional Engineers (PEs).

Key Staff
John Avina, CEM, is internationally recognized as an expert with Metrix, Option C M&V, and MarketManager. Mr. Avina founded and has led Abraxas Energy Consulting since 2001. He has trained several hundred users and sold and supported the programs for 10 years.
Kevin Warren, P.E., CEM, LEED AP has performed energy analyses for hundreds of buildings and industrial facilities. Co-founder and partner of kW Engineering prior to forming Warren Energy Engineering, LLC, Mr. Warren has more than 13 years of intensive energy efficiency engineering experience.
