Covered Buildings
A Covered Building is 50,000 square feet or larger whether occupied by a single occupant or group of tenants.
Non-Covered buildings are any of the following:
· The individual building’s gross floor area is less than 50,000 square feet: or
· The building is a storage facility, stand-alone parking garage, airplane hangar, or lacks heating and cooling; or
· The building has more than half of the gross floor area dedicated to manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural purposes (hereinafter referred to as MAI purposes); or
· The building is a single-family home, duplex, or triplex; or
The building is a condominium or townhouse without a centralized heating or cooling system for water or air conditioning.
