Metrix Introductory Training
We provide a two-day training session for new Metrix users. The session is primarily "hands-on" -- trainees are guided step-by-step through typical project set-up, entering data such as meter information, rate tariffs, sub-meters, as well as establishing baselines, correcting for weather, and communicating these results using the reporting capabilities. |
Topics Covered:
- Metrix architecture and navigation, operation of the user interface
- Project layout and meter set-up
- Automatic weather and meter data import
- Meter tuning
- Quality Control for increasing reliability of results
- Adding Modifications (Baseline Adjustments)
- Utility tariff modeling
- Tracking performance goals
- Report and graph generation

Metrix Advanced Training
The session begins with a review of basic concepts such as meter set-up; entering bill and variable data; tuning; measures and modifications; rate analysis and modeling. The session then continues with advanced measures; retrofit isolation vs main meter methods; advanced tuning, modifications and modeling; report customization. Case studies will be worked on as well as discussion of "real-life" Metrix applications. |
Topics Covered:
- Examples of Large Project Layouts
- Use of Metrix Import/Export facility
- Using the Metrix Query
- Rate Comparison
- Special Considerations for Tuning Meters
- Modelling Difficult Rates
- Creating Custom Reports & Graphs
- ...and many fine points often overlooked by beginning users

MarketManager Introductory Training
We provide a two-day training session for new MarketManager users. The session is primarily "hands-on" -- trainees are guided through a series of case studies and problems which explore different areas of energy analysis. The specifics of the selected case studies are tailored to the trainees needs. |
Topics Covered:
- MarketManager architecture and navigation, operation of the user interface
- Calibration of model with existing facility energy use
- Set-up of scenarios to compare energy management recommendations
- Use of Quality Control and diagnostic features for increasing reliability of results
- Report and graph generation
- Advanced HVAC and other modeling topics, time permitting.

MarketManager Advanced Training
In the MarketManager Advanced Training, students learn the fine details of MarketManager. In addition, much of the training is primarily a "question and answer" session -- trainees pose questions concerning past, present, or future energy analyses. The specific issues raised are discussed with respect to general as well as project-specific applications. In addition, a pre-training survey may be conducted in order to design an agenda that meets the needs of all trainees. |
Topics Covered:
- Review of introductory concepts
- Advanced HVAC topics
- Advanced techniques in modeling and building calibration
- Troubleshooting
- Review of "measure" and scenario capabilities for comparing energy management recommendations
- Reinforcement of diagnostic feature for increasing reliability of results
- ...and many fine points often overlooked by beginning users
