Q: Upgraded computers, and my new computer is a 64 bit. My old computer was a 32 bit. ReportMaker does not work on 64 bit machines. Is there a way to get Metrix ReportMaker to work on my new computer?

A:  It\'s acceptable the Windows OS changed from a 32-bit to a 64-bit, the important thing is that your version of Office is a 32-bit version, as Excel is the critical application for ReportMaker.

The only two workarounds for 64-bit Office are:

1) to install 32-bit Office, or
2) work on a virtual machine that runs 32-bit Office.

The first is usually the route most commonly used as it is much simpler, though the virtual machine works just fine in most cases.
