Q: How do I install and license Option C?
A: Here are the instructions to install Option C, request a license, and import that license:
System Requirements
Option C will run on Windows OS 7 or more recent.
1.6 Ghz or faster processor.
1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB if running on a virtual machine.
4 GB of available hard disk space (5400 RPM hard disk drive).
Direct-X 9 capable video card (1024 x 768 or higher resolution).
Option C has an integrated reporting feature, and does not require MS Excel to run reports.
Option C is not supported on Mac OS.
Installation
1) Click this link to download the latest version of Option C you are eligible for (contact our HelpDesk if you are unsure of this).
2) Save the file to your desktop.
3) Once downloaded, make sure there are no other programs open, then double click the .exe file to begin installation.
4) Once installed, go to Start > Option C > Option C Licensing.
5) Copy your \"Computer GUID\".
6) Send an email to helpdesk@abraxasenergy.com, requesting your permanent license. Include your computer GUID. Once we receive your request, we will send you a license.
Licensing
1)You will receive your license file as an email attachment, in response to your license request. Once you have received this email response, download the license file. It will be saved as a .txt file.
2) Open the downloaded license file. Copy all the text of the code. (You may use Ctrl+A, and Ctrl+C to select all text, and copy, respectively.)
3) Go to Start > Option C > Option C Licensing.
4)Paste the copied license text into the \"Imported License Details\" field, and click \'Import\'. (You may use Ctrl+V to paste.)
5) You will receive a message that license import was successful. If you receive an error, contact Helpdesk for support.
