If you create the diagnostics item, simulate, and then add more items to the heating and cooling view, and simulate again, the new items you added won't show up in diagnostic results until you update diagnostics.
You can update diagnostics by clicking on the Diagnostics item, and then selecting from the menu Edit | Populate Item. Then simulate again, and you will see diagnostics results for these new items.
